Kristian Erik  Escobar

Kristian Erik Escobar, age 24 of Rockwall, TX, passed away February 19, 2009, as the result of an accident. He was born December 18, 1984, in Harlingen, TX, to Raul and Kristin (Greenly) Escobar. Kristian was a member of Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church and was an Eagle Scout in Boy Scout Troop #83 Rockwall. He graduated from Rockwall High School in 2003, attained his B.S. in electrical engineering from UTD, and was currently working toward his master’s while employed at Texas Instruments. Kristian was a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers and enjoyed scuba diving and rock climbing.

He is survived by his mother: Kristin M. Greenly Escobar of Rockwall, TX; father: Raul Robles Escobar of La Feria, TX; brother: Raul Jason Escobar of Louisville, KY; grandparents: J. Van Greenly of Addison, TX, and Cristina Robles of Houston, TX; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins of the U.S., Canada and El Salvador. He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Joan Elizabeth Greenly and grandfather: Arcadio Escobar.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Aubrey Patterson officiating.
