My heart is very saddened today as the reality sets in that my Uncle Burnice will no longer be with us..Black hat, sunglasses and cowboy boots - that was his style..and a smile on his face you could see for a mile..A man of many words who always had something to say..Whether it was words of encourgement or calling you a nickname ..Aggravating and agitating that was his game..And making you laugh brought a smile to his face..He was the life of the party and I'm gonna miss you ol fart..but know you are with us forever in our hearts..

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.  You guys know that your father was a great man and loved you and your momma more than life itself.  I have great memories of him during the years of rodeos.  He always had that cocked grin.  May God give you peace to heal your hearts and know that he is well now.

Love to you all!

Judy,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We have lots of childhood memories of Burnice growing up in Telephone.  The Shannon family were great neighbors and friends.

Our paths have crossed over the years and even though we have not been in touch that often over the years we have always considered you all as great friends.

Burnice will be missed.

What a great loss. Bill was a wonderful and hardworking man. I have never forgotten him or the family and want to send my prayers and condolences. Know that he left a lasting impression on everyone that he touched including myself. It is a huge and heartbreaking earthly loss, but a wonderful addition to cowboy heaven.

My Dear Friends,

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel in the loss of this Great Man. He loved his family with everything he had. He will be deeply missed. I remember when I used to try to ride in the Rodeo, he would always swat the heck out of my horse to get her moving, only to know I would pull back on the reins to slow her down. I can still hear him say, " agggg give her the reins". He was such a character. Always had something to say. I'll see you in heaven one day my friend.
