Lucille F. Bateman, age 93 of Rockwall, TX, passed away January 24, 2010. She was born July 5, 1916, in Stamps, AR, to James Henry & Julia (Tinnell) Force. Lucille served in the Special Services at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana during WWII, coordinating celebrity entertainers and USO shows. She retired from the accounting department of the City of Shreveport. Lucille was a strong Christian woman, a member of the Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.
She is survived by her daughter: Julia Halliburton & husband John of Rockwall, TX; son: James Bateman & wife Bernadine of Parker, CO; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Aubrey Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, prior to the service, from 12:00 to 2:00pm.

Condolences01-29-2010 I speak to you as I talk with God. You are now with Him. 56 years is but a dot in time--but in earthly circles it is considered a lengthly period.
