Mrs. Speight was one of the absolute sweetest people I have ever had the honor of meeting...I took both piano & organ lessons from her for many years and I learned many lessons:  play the organ foot petals with your shoes ON, practice 100 times 100, and practice doesn't make perfect ~ only perfect practice makes perfect.  Your musical legacy will live on through the hundreds of students whom had the privilege to learn from you.  I always felt the love just walking through your door.  Rest in peace sweet Mrs. Speight.

Mrs. Speight will always be remembered in my heart as one of the kindest ladies I have ever known. Growing up at Parkside Baptist Church, and having been a member here for 28 years, I learned to love Mrs. Speight and respect her in so many ways. She will truly be missed . We certainly will be praying for the family.

My dear Mrs. Speight......Oh what memories!  I just shared some of those memories with friends at church this morning telling them how she taught me to play the piano and organ.....and yes, at the age of 57, I'm still playing in church all the time.  She wouldn't have had it any other way.  She was the best...in so many ways.

So many memories of my sweet aunt, Willie Mae.  She taught me to make pies and we stayed up 'til the wee hours until I got it right-- and  I had to learn to make tea...the RIGHT way and hers was the best tea in the world.    She told me often that all she had to give me was love.....and that was her best gift.  My Daddy was so fond of her...we all were and we were blessed to have her in our lives.
