Vince Romo, age 46 of Royse City, TX, passed away February 19, 2010. He was born December 21, 1963, in Dallas, TX. Vince was a devoted husband and father who loved to make everyone happy. He was an encourager and was always found helping and counseling people. Vince was creative in woodworking, ironwork and jewelry making. He was a patriot who loved helping the troops and was especially proud of his son Zach, who is currently serving in the Marine Corps. Vince had a gift for treating animals with love and respect and they were drawn to him. He was involved in the rodeo. Vince had a passion for singing and worshipping the Lord and was a man of great faith. He enjoyed playing pranks on his pastor, such as locking the gate and making the pastor late for church. Vince was the glue that kept the family together.
He is survived by his wife: Joy (Harris) Romo; son: Zach Romo; daughters: Chelle Jones & husband Danny and Lexi “Cricket” Romo; parents: Rick & Sheila Romo and Melvin & Beverly Witty; sisters: Lisa Edwards and Niki Hawkes; brothers: Sean Romo and Ryan and David Witty; and grandson: Skylar Romo. Vince was preceded in death by his grandparents: Elizabeth & Wesley Witty, Opal Farmer Persons and Rose & John Romo.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Monday, February 22, 2010, at Lakeshore Church, 5575 Hwy 205 South, Rockwall, TX, with Pastor Brad Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 2:00am to 4:00pm. |

Condolences07-23-2010 Joy, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I worked with Vince at John Bullock & Co. I just recently heard of his passing and was very saddened. We had such a fun time working together..he always had a smile on his face and made me laugh whenever he was around. My hearfelt wishes that you are doing well and have family, friends and wonderful memories to get you through this most difficult time.
